Health & Safety Policy Statement This statement relates to the combined health and safety policy of Trees-uk. The policy applies in respect of any person to whom Trees-uk owes a duty of care. Trees-uk recognises, and fully accepts, its statutory and moral responsibilities to provide the highest standard of health and safety protection for its staff and for other people on or about the premises or sites for which it has responsibility. Trees-uk is dedicated to ensuring:- - the health, safety and welfare of all our staff and people who work under our management.
- the safety of the general public who use or have access to our premises or sites under our control.
- that the way in which we develop our enterprise contributes to the well-being of the society at large.
In order to meet these aims we shall:- - keep up to date with best practice in to health and safety and comply with all relevant legislation.
- ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, those who work on our behalf use the highest standards of health and safety for their employees and the society in general.
- co-operate actively with local authorities, statutory bodies and public services in the interests of public safety and the preservation of the environment.
- maintain to a high standard of working practice in respect of all the premises and sites over which we have control.
- give a high precedence to health and safety management in all our operations.
- develop, apply and monitor health and safety management appropriate to our work • co-operate with, and monitor, the performance of contractors who work for us.
- provide the necessary resources to implement our policies and keep them up to date. • check with, and engage, our staff in matters concerning their health and safety.
- make available the necessary equipment and training for the tasks to be performed.
- where necessary complement our in-house resources with external sources, and enlist specialist support to keep our policies and procedures up to date.
We require the full and active involvement of all our employees and contractors in order that the philosophy outlined in the policy statement can be reached. The statutory duties placed on Trees-uk and all their employees, and providers of services, are to be seen as minimum standards.
